A special edition of the Black GNOME Linux operating system, based on Ubuntu, GNOME, GParted Live and Parted Magic
Black GNOME Ultimate Edition is an open source and completely free distribution of Linux based on the world’s most popular free software, Ubuntu, GNOME, Parted Magic, GParted and Ultimate Boot CD.
Available for download as a 64-bit Live DVD
Users can download the Ultimate Edition of the Black GNOME Linux operating system via Softpedia or directly from the project’s homepage (see link above) as a Live DVD ISO image that supports only 64-bit hardware platforms.
Keep in mind though, that the ISO image has approximately 3.5GB in size and must be burned to a DVD disc or written on a USB flash drive of 4GB or higher capacity in order to boot it from the BIOS of a PC.
When booting the ISO image from the BIOS of a computer, using either a DVD disc or a USB flash drive, users will encounter a boot screen from where they can launch the Black GNOME Linux operating system, as well as the Ultimate Boot CD, GParted Live or Parted Magic distributions.
In addition, you’ll be able to perform a RAM diagnostic test, boot an existing operating system from the first disk drive, find and boot a Linux distribution with menu.lst, drop to a shell prompt, reboot or shutdown the computer.
The Ultimate Linux operating system is here!
Besides the GParted Live, Ultimate Boot CD and the last free version of Parted Magic, this Black GNOME edition also includes the Tor Browser Bundle, the entire LibreOffice office suite, several proprietary codecs, as well as JRE (Java Runtime Environment).
While the Black GNOME Ultimate Edition OS has been created for developer’s own needs, you can also take advantage of its powers. It will help you to rescue broken operating system, do system maintenance tasks, or recover lost data from damaged hard disk drives.
