Sort a multitude of folders
When you work with a large number of data, sorted into many folders, it is difficult to find your way around them, especially if they feature the same icon. Additionally, naming the folders with suggestive titles is not always an easy or quick task. This is why Folder Description allows you to create a description dedicated to each folder.
The software does not feature an interface, instead it inserts an option in the folder’s context menu. All you need to do is select the ‘Show Description’ entry and the software displays a small text editor. You can add, remove or modify text in this window with ease, since it is automatically saved when you close it.
Index the contents of your folders
Folder Description is easy to use and it is designed to help you identify the contents of a folder, without opening them. It is a useful feature when you wish to sort school documents or papers into folders, as well as if you are a photographer and you need to deal with a large number of pictures.
There is no limit to the text that can be added to the description window, nor to the characters. You may create lists, enter key names, people’s names, dates, Web addresses. For instance, if you create a folder for anniversary images, you may note the date, place and list of guests in the Folder Description.
Simple to use folder sorter
Folder Description is lightweight, simple to use and easy to access. After the installation process, it simply appears in the folders’ context menus, among the top entries. It creates a hidden text file with automatic saving features, meaning the current text is saved when the window is closed.
Folder Description gives you the opportunity to add descriptions to your folders. Folder names are no longer the issue.
You can avoid naming folders with numbers, dates or other such information, in order to tell them apart. You can make use of it in order to describe the multitude of folders that store school documents. This is also a good way to keep track of photo folders if you want them to be sorted by the date.
