A free and open source, easy to use graphical user interface that will enable you to configure and run proteomics identification search engines
SearchGUI is a user-friendly, lightweight graphical user interface for configuring and running in parallel two proteomics identification search engines.
Furthermore, SearchGUI’s two search engines are called the X!Tandem and the Open Mass Spectrometry Search Algorithm (OMSSA) .
SearchGUI is based on the OMSSAGUI project, with the main part of the additions being implemented by Marc Vaudel from ISAS, Germany in collaboration with Lennart Martens and Harald Barsnes.
Moreover, SearchGUI is a cross-platform utility capable of running on any operating system that comes with support for the Java runtime (e.g. Mac OS X, Windows, Linux).
